Although the machines are separated by more than a decade, the new a machine also has relatively little conspicuity from the rear. Of course, the routing of the wiring on the new machine was a little bit more challenging and the tolerances and spaces were much tighter. What took about 35 minutes on the Paris Dakar bike took an hour and a half on the new R1150.
